Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, a hundred business leaders including Valley Distributing Corp. , half a dozen craft brewery owners and politicians toasted the opening of the Southwest Virginia Mountain Brew Trail on Tuesday night from the upper level of Studio Brew, Bristol, VA
The Mountain Brew Trail is a product of years of planning and contains 16 craft breweries currently open or under construction. Warner says the trail will attract young people and boost the local economy and provide jobs. Virginia Tourism Corp. President and CEO Rite McClenny says craft beer is an important regional asset for southwest virginia. "People come here to make family memories and this trail will give them a reason to come taste, see and fall in love with all that Southwest Virginia has to offer. There is no better way to get a taste of the local flavor than to show visitors why Virginia is for craft lovers."
